COLONIC IRRIGATION
ABOUT US
Yes, it’s a drive. Here’s why many still make the trip to Armadale.
Torquay has its own rhythm: early-morning waves at Bells Beach, sandy kids in the car, fish-and-chips that somehow taste better by the water, weekends that blur into salt and sun. When your middle feels tight, bloated or “off,” a gentle open-system colonic can help you reset. We know Armadale isn’t around the corner; it’s roughly a 1.5-hour, ~100 km drive via the M1 (traffic dependent). But for many Surf Coast locals, the closest, high-quality option
with a calm, private open-system setup is our Armadale clinic. If you time it right and bundle
a few things into the day, the trip can be very worth it.
Why Torquay clients still choose Armadale
1. Quality and privacy first.
We use a modern open system that prioritises independence and comfort. You self-insert a small, pencil-thin nozzle in privacy; warm, gravity-fed water supports natural release into a ventilated basin. A practitioner is nearby if you’d like reassurance; not hovering, not rushing.
2. Experience that shows.
We’ve supported Melbourne clients since 1999 . That longevity shows up in how we explain things clearly, keep the room calm, and help you choose a sensible cadence rather than pushing packages.
3. Make the drive count.
Torquay clients often stack appointments and errands so the day feels efficient and restorative, not just “a long drive for one thing.”
What colonics actually do
Colonic irrigation (also called colon hydrotherapy) uses purified, body-temperature water to gently encourage your colon to release built-up waste and gas. On an open system, there’s no pressure forcing anything; you set the pace. Most clients describe the session as quiet, private and surprisingly relaxing; more “spa” than “medical.”
Common reasons people book from Torquay and surrounds:
We keep expectations realistic: a colonic is support, not a cure-all. Your body tells you if it’s worth repeating.
Open vs closed colonics—why the experience matters
A. Insertion
B. Control & privacy
C. Water flow
If you value independence and minimal fuss, the open system tends to feel calmer and more natural.

Questions once you’re back on the coast? Call us. Reassurance is part of good care.
Safety first
Colonics are gentle and non-surgical, but they aren’t appropriate for everyone. Please do not book if you have severe inflammatory bowel conditions, recent abdominal surgery, active bleeding, uncontrolled hypertension, or if you are pregnant (not an exhaustive list). If you’re unsure, speak with your healthcare professional first—we’re happy to discuss practicalities.

Wheechair Accessibility
Our clinic is not wheelchair accessible. This is due to the design of the LIBBE open-system device, which requires clients to independently access the unit and position themselves in a private area. We don’t have the equipment or staff support for assisted transfers.
Parking
Street parking is available on nearby side streets within a short 2-minute walk. Please check all parking signs carefully before leaving your vehicle.
Clearway Notice
High Street operates Clear-ways during peak hours — City-inbound from 7:00–9:00 am and City-outbound from 4:30–6:30 pm. Parking or stopping during these times is not permitted and vehicles may be towed.
If your appointment falls within these hours, we recommend parking on the surrounding side streets instead.
