Quick prep & after-care (helpful to do)

Before you come

  • Hydrate steadily.
  • Keep meals moderate; avoid unusually heavy or very spicy dinners the night before.
  • Wear comfortable clothing and leave a few unhurried minutes for arrival.

After you leave

  • Keep sipping water and herbal teas.
  • Choose light meals for the next one or two: soups, steamed veg, light proteins.
  • If you feel pleasantly tired, lean into it: a short walk and an early night.

Questions later? Call us, as reassurance is part of reasonable care.

Safety first

Colonics are gentle and non-surgical, but not for everyone. Please do not book if you have severe inflammatory bowel disease, recent abdominal surgery, active GI bleeding, uncontrolled hypertension, or if you’re pregnant. If you’re unsure, speak with your healthcare professional first; we’re happy to discuss the practicalities so you can make an informed decision.

What Kew clients say matters most

  • Genuinely private.” Independence reduces awkwardness.
  • No pushy sales.” Try one, then decide your cadence.
  • Everything under one roof.” Colonics, sauna and optional herbal/coffee/alkaline irrigations.
  • It fits my week.” A tidy hour, then back to the Junction or school pickup.

Quiet care, easy to fit into an ordinary day.

Kew’s rhythm aligns with leafy streets, Kew Junction errands, and walks by the Yarra. If you feel bloated or out of step, a gentle open-system colonic at our Armadale clinic is a simple reset: private room, calm guidance, and a short 20 to 30-minute drive each way.

Colonic Irrigation for Residents of Kew

What is a colonic?

Colon irrigation (also called colon hydrotherapy, or simply colonic) introduces purified, body-temperature water to encourage the colon to release built-up waste and gas. On a modern open system, releases happen naturally into a ventilated basin while you stay in control. Most clients describe the session as quiet, private, and surprisingly relaxing—more like a minimal spa than a clinical procedure.

Why do Kew clients book?

  • That bloated, heavy feeling after travel or richer food
  • A practical reset to feel easier
  • Support for regularity alongside fibre and movement
  • A monthly or seasonal maintenance nudge that keeps life feeling easier

Think of a colonic as support, not a cure-all.

What can you expect

  • Privacy that reduces awkwardness: You self-insert a small, pencil-thin nozzle; we’re nearby if you want help.
  • Gentle flow: Body-temperature, gravity-fed water (not pressurised); your body sets the pace.
  • Unhurried room: Time to breathe, ask questions, and finish releasing before you head off.
  • A realistic plan: try one session first; if helpful, we’ll suggest a cadence that fits your week.

Typical time on site: 45–60 minutes

First visit: how it unfolds

1) Arrival & walkthrough

We orient you to the room and explain what “normal” feels like during a session: sensations, pauses, breathing. Ask anything.

2) Private set-up

You prepare in privacy and self-insert the small nozzle with lubricant. Pillows and supports help you settle.

3) Gentle cleanse

Warm water flows by gravity; you can pause, continue, or make small position changes that encourage natural release.

4) After the session

You’ll have time to finish releasing and compose yourself. Many people leave lighter, quietly relaxed, and ready for a simple dinner and an early night.

Two easy ways to fit this into Kew life

    A) “Mid-week lightener”

    • Book a late-morning or early-afternoon slot to avoid peak traffic.
    • Pair with a 30–40 min infrared sauna (before or after).
    • Keep lunch light; take an evening loop along Yarra Boulevard.
    • Result: the rest of the week feels easier.

    B) “Once-a-month maintenance”

    • Choose a predictable day (e.g., first Wednesday).
    • Hydrate well the day before; keep dinner simple afterwards.
    • Result: steadier rhythm without constant decision-making.

Open vs closed colonics and why many choose open

Both aim for a gentle cleanse; the experience differs.

    Wheechair Accessibility

Our clinic is not wheelchair accessible. This is due to the design of the LIBBE open-system device, which requires clients to independently access the unit and position themselves in a private area. We don’t have the equipment or staff support for assisted transfers.

    Parking

Street parking is available on nearby side streets within a short 2-minute walk. Please check all parking signs carefully before leaving your vehicle.

    Clearway Notice

High Street operates Clear-ways during peak hours — City-inbound from 7:00–9:00 am and City-outbound from 4:30–6:30 pm. Parking or stopping during these times is not permitted and vehicles may be towed.

If your appointment falls within these hours, we recommend parking on the surrounding side streets instead.
