Colonic Irrigation for Glen Iris Residents

Why do people from Glen Iris choose our clinic?

  • Close and convenient. We’re just up the road in Armadale. It's easy to reach from Glen Iris via High Street or Malvern Road, so you can book a session that fits your day and be back to your routine feeling lighter.
  • Trusted practice. We’ve provided safe care to Melbourne clients since 1999, focusing on comfort, hygiene and informed guidance before, during and after your session.
  • Open-system comfort. Our clinic uses the LIBBE open system, which many clients prefer for its privacy and gentle, natural feel compared with traditional closed methods.
  • Whole-of-wellness options. You can complement your cleanse with infrared sauna, herbal, coffee or alkaline irrigations, all available on-site, so your routine stays simple.

What is colonic irrigation?

Colonic irrigation, also called colon hydrotherapy, gently introduces purified, body-temperature water to help your colon release built-up waste and gas. Clients often describe the sensation as light, relieving, clarifying and more “spa-like” than clinical, especially with the independence and privacy the open system allows.

Common reasons people book:

  • A sense of sluggishness, heaviness or bloating
  • Irregularity and general digestive discomfort
  • Starting a seasonal or nutrition reset
  • Pairing with sauna or gentle dietary changes for a deeper clean feel

Open vs closed colonics—what’s the difference?

Closed system: A therapist inserts and holds a large speculum in place, controls water flow and manages releases through tubing. It can be effective, but some find it more clinical and less private.

Open system (LIBBE)You self-insert a small, pencil-thin nozzle, recline comfortably and remain in control. Gravity-fed water supports natural release into a ventilated basin; your therapist is nearby for reassurance rather than operating the device. Many describe it as gentler and less intrusive.

If you’re unsure which approach is right for you, we’re happy to talk through the differences and help you decide.

Your session—step by step (what to expect)

  1. Arrival & check-in. We’ll welcome you, answer questions and walk you through the room layout, hygiene steps and how the device works.
  2. Set-up. You’ll have complete privacy to prepare and position yourself however you like.
  3. During your cleanse. With the open system, you’re in control. Most clients find that breathing slowly, relaxing the abdomen and taking their time yields the best results.
  4. Afterwards. Take a few minutes to settle in; many people feel lighter and clearer-headed. We’ll offer simple post-care tips (hydration, gentle meals) and discuss any add-ons you’re considering for your next visit.

Tip: Pairing your first colonic with a short infrared sauna either before or after is a popular way to enhance the feeling of deep clean and relaxation

Who it can help (and how often to come)

Clients book colonics for many reasons, from easing occasional bloating to kick-starting a diet or preparing for a more intentional wellness routine. Frequency is personal: some begin with a short series close together to establish momentum, then switch to maintenance sessions monthly or around key times (travel, seasonal changes). We’ll help you tailor a schedule that feels practical and sustainable.

Before & after care (simple, sensible guidance)

  • The day before: Hydrate well and keep meals light-to-moderate with whole foods; avoid heavy or unusually rich meals.
  • On the day: Arrive a few minutes early and wear comfortable clothing.
  • After your cleanse: Continue to hydrate; herbal teas and simple meals (soups, steamed veg, light proteins) are common choices. Listen to your body—gentle movement, an early night and avoiding alcohol for the day can support recovery.

Our difference—what clients tell us they value
