Colonic Irrigation Geelong | Safe, Private Open-System Care

Benefits of Colonic Irrigation

Also called colon hydrotherapy or a colon cleanse, colonic irrigation gently introduces warm, filtered water into the large intestine to assist natural elimination.
Unlike an enema, which only clears the lower bowel, colonics can help cleanse the full length of the colon. Many clients describe feeling lighter, clearer, and more energised after a session.

  1. Support for digestive health: Colonic irrigation, provided by our experienced team, gently encourages the natural elimination of waste from the colon. Many clients report feeling lighter, less bloated, and more comfortable, with improvements in regularity and overall digestive function
  2.  General Well-being: A healthy digestive system plays a crucial role in maintaining day-to-day comfort and energy. By supporting balance in the gut, colonic irrigation may contribute to increased vitality and an overall sense of well-being.

  3. Complementary cleansing support: Colonic irrigation works in harmony with your body’s natural processes. Clients often choose this therapy as part of their broader wellness routine to feel refreshed and to support their digestive health alongside a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

Understanding the difference helps you choose what’s right for your body and comfort.

Closed-System Colonics
  • A therapist inserts and holds a large speculum in place throughout the session.
  • The therapist controls the water pressure, flow, and release through connected tubing.
  • Waste passes through sealed tubes into a disposal unit.
  • Some clients find this process clinical or invasive, as the therapist must remain in the room.
  • Closed systems may be suitable for people who require assistance due to mobility restrictions or medical conditions that make self-insertion difficult.

Open-System Colonics (LIBBE)
  • You self-insert a small, smooth nozzle (about the width of a pencil) in private.
  • Gravity-fed warm water flows gently, allowing natural fill-and-release cycles.

  • Waste passes directly into a ventilated basin, preventing odour.
  • The therapist stays nearby for reassurance, but you remain in control of the process.
  • Many clients find this approach gentler, more dignified, and empowering.

At Colon Irrigation Melbourne, we have used the LIBBE open system since 1999, welcoming clients from across Geelong and regional Victoria who value comfort, privacy, and professional care.

OPEN SYSTEM VS CLOSED SYSTEM COLONICS

1. Consultation — Your therapist reviews your health history and explains the process.
2. Preparation — You undress privately from the waist down, cover yourself, and recline on the warm bed.
3. Self-Insertion — You insert the disposable nozzle yourself.
4. Gentle Water Flow — Warm, filtered water flows naturally by gravity.
5. Natural Release — Waste passes into the ventilated basin without odour.
6. Aftercare — Once finished, you can dress and return to your day immediately.
